Abstract
Erzurum has an extensive experience of knowledge in terms of folk dance. Kid’s games, sportive games, show games and folk dances take place in the term of dance. These games show difference according to the time, place and sex of the players. A kind of folk dance that is out these games and plays but stands for an important role among the dances is known as ‘Bar’. The music of the play was notated analyzing the figures and detecting the existence of the plays like ‘Halay’ in the collected fieldworks applied in the districts of Erzurum. This situation proved Erzurum’s diversity and richness in terms of folk dance.
