Abstract :
The aim of this study is to perform an experimental application by using the prepared exercises about developing the violin students vibrato skills, to introduce the differences after and before the experimental application which is accomplished by using these exercises and to find what kinds of changes these exercises cause on the students vibrato skills . Target population of the study forms the violin students at the branch of GÜGEF Music Teaching, while its samples form N=20 violin students at the second and the third class of the undergraduate groups in the academic year 2009-2010. In this study, the experimental method was used. In this way, the quantitive data were collected analyzed and as a result, the collected data were put together. In the study, the pattern with the control group of the pre-test and the post-test was used. After an eight-week experimental period which was conducted by using vibrato exercises, the pre-test and the post-test differences were compared. With regard to that model, data were analyzed by using t-tests for paired samples and t-tests for independent samples. The numerical data were obeyed by using the vibrato evaluating scale which was prepared by the researcher so as to perform the statistical transactions. The results indicate that important differences have occur positively during the post-test in proportion to the pre-test in the student s behaviors related to vibrato after the exercises about vibrato were performed.
