Pam Gems, whose plays have been staged since 1970s, handles social and political problems of the industrialized western world. As doing this, she uses feminist elements. Search for identity and identity problems of the women are among the themes of Gems. To her, these are universal problems and she underlines that conscious women are of vital importance for a strong social structure.
