Abstract :
Mythology is compilation of stories against unknown in the battle between nature and primitive civilizations. These stories contains dominant expressions that make unknown to known, invisible to visible. These mythical expressions was transferred from generations to generations until now. Some of them was transferred by poems, paintings or sculptures. Sculpture art that uses visual expressions and materialist persistence was fed by mythology over the ages. Myths- as sculptures- concretized the power, immortality, sovereignity. At this point myths became one of the sculpture’s most powerful source. Sculptures produced by primitive civilizations, help us to understand the mythical expressions of older cultures, and make the sculpture language rich with being referencing to the spesific comments. These sculptures are reviewed by todays vision, so that they are bridges between today and the past with their meanings and stylistic richness.
