Abstract :
Known as traditional book arts, calligraphy, illumination, miniature, ebru (marbling), binding and kat’ı date back to very early ages, emerging with the idea of preparing the holy book Kur’an in the best way and have improved in time. With its courses carried out both academic sense and through the courses of various official and private institutions and also through masters and artists noted in this field, Istanbul has come to the forefront as in the past. On the other hand, these branches of art have existed in various parts of Anatolia. Together with the declaration of Ankara as the capital city, these arts have improved as in other arts. In the current study, it was aimed to investigate the traditional book art masters currently living in Ankara and to introduce their works of arts. In this sense, Memnune Birkan the artist of illumination, Nurten Ünver the artist of miniature, Kadir Sakoğlu the artist of calligraphy and Bahtiyar Hıra the artist of ebru were investigated in the research sampling. The views, works of art of the artists were investigated together with their works and the techniques they used.
