Abstract :
In this article, the theoretical background of the formation of the city and urban spaces will be reviewed. Then, the relations between the sculptures in public spaces, the city, its cultural structure, urban memory, the agora and public spaces will be discussed. On the other hand, artistic production and practice is transformed as the society’s perception of the public sphere changes. The relations and the integrity between public space and works of art, works of art and the society, the society and public spaces will be demonstrated with examples.
