Abstract :
The use of textile products is comparable to the history of mankind. At first, it is produced and used by traditional methods, but, the need of meeting the increasing demand, and accelerating the production rates led to industrialism, creating the textile industry in time. In a daily basis, extensively used textile products, creates a tactile relationship with the user who is constantly in contact with them. For this reason, art works created by felt, weaving and knitting methods, which are basic production methods of textile, are familiar to the audience. In time, textile forming methods such as felting, weaving and knitting which are used since the ages before the century, and its find their place in art scene and benefiting from technological developments and these products turned into a conceptually and visually meaningful expressive medium, without a functionality concern. The familiarity of the textile s specific structural features in every aspect of everyday life makes it easier to communicate the message in artistic expression.
