Abstract :
In the present study, the organic acid, sugar and mineral contents in the mature fruit of promising 15 different rosehip genotypes grown wild in Erzincan region were determined. It was detected that fructose, glucose, sucrose, citric acid, oxalic acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, and succinic acid contents ranged in 7.96-14.76%; 8.06- 12.94%; 0.17-0.88%; 1.56-3.15 %; 0.32-0.62%; 0.073-0.155 %; 0.76-4.39%, and 0.028-2.465 %, respectively. Malic acid was determined as the highest in the organic acids, and fructose was determined as the highest in the sugar. The content of nutrients in fruits were sorted from high to low as K, Mg, P, Mn, Fe, Cu, and Zn. It was determined that the obtained findings varied on the basis of genotypes.
