Abstract :
This experiment was conducted to evaluate grain yield, main agricultural traits and yield stability of some 19 two-rowed barley genotypes in Samsun conditions. This experiment was carried out three years from 2002 to 2005 with competely randomized block design. In the study, plant height, spike lenght, grain number per head, 1000 grain weight, test weight and grain yield were determined. Mean yield of genotypes (x̅), regression coefficient (bi), determination coefficient (R²), deviation from regression (S²d), and ecovalance (Wi²) were evaluated as stability parameters. According to means of three years, these values were determined; plant height was 82.0-96.8 cm, spike lenght was 6.24-8.78 cm, grain number per head was 20.3-27.9 numbers, thousand kernel weight was 42.4-48.9 g, test weight was 59.9.0-70.1 kg and grain yield was 314.9-474.7 kg/da. According to means of years, the highest grain yields were obtained from the genotypes 1, 3, 6, 9, 11, 12 and 19. The genotypes 3, 9, 12 and 19 had the highest stability according to all stability parameters in this experiment.
