Abstract :
Science and Technology teachers face problems in early years of their professions. In addition to having the necessary skills, eliminating these problems is important with regard to achieve goals of science education. This study aims to identify problems and variations of the problems by years which Science and Technology teachers encounter. Case study method was preferred in this study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 30 science and technology teachers who are 10 of them served up to 5 years, 10 of them have served up to 15 years, 10 one of them served over 15 years in the schools connected to Trabzon Directorate of National Education. During the interviews, answers were recorded with a voice recorder. At the end of the application, answers were analyzed using descriptive analysis and the content analysis method. As a result most Science and Technology teachers have problems with communication, compliance, providing laboratory equipment, students who need special education and regulations. It is identified that problems with communication, adaptation, classroom management, students who need special education continue and teachers do not find a satisfactory for given supports the early years of their professions and want to get supports for students who need special education, guidance, classroom management, laboratory practices. In this regard, it is suggested that during pre-service teacher training courses, prospective teachers should participate in all of practices in more schools instead of one school, includes village schools and science education classrooms at Teaching Practicum courses.
