INVESTIGATION OF STUDENTS EDUCATION LIFE EXPECTANCY AND PHYSICAL SPACE SATISFACTION FROM GENDER IN REGIONAL BOARDING MIDDLE SCHOOLS
Abstract :
The aim of this study is to determine the physical space satisfaction of the students attendingregional boarding middle schools in terms of educational life expectancy and gender. Using the scanning method in the quantitative research model, the sample of the study consisted of 720 students studying in 13 regional boarding middle schools in Erzurum. In this study were used demographic information questionnaire and “The Physical Space Satisfaction Scale”. The data were analyzed and interpreted using SPSS 24.00. In the study; the physical space satisfaction of the students in these schools did not change in terms of gender, however, it has been determined that there is a statistically significant difference in female students expectation of educational life in favor of female students. Also in this research, students who have higher education life expectancy according to gender find the opportunities offered by these schools sufficient, however, in terms of attitudes, there was no difference between these two groups. Finally, it was determined that there is no difference between the students educational life expectancy and physical space satisfaction.
