Abstract :
This article focused on the nature of the quantity and of number, which is a species of its, in the philosophy of Ibn Sina. In this context, it was addressed the ideas of the philosopher about continuous and discrete quantities, the one, which is theirs principle, and the reality, definition and origin of the numbers. In addition to that mathematic and number understanding of modern philosophy was also briefly mentioned and these two understandings were compared in this article.
