Abstract :
Schools are organizations that are composed of many factors like teacher, student, program etc. coming together for their common purposes. Processing at schools depends on these basic elements. At present, the fact that students’ cognitive and emotional readiness levels are not at required level has been mentioned by teachers as a big problem, especially in classroom management. In this study, it is aimed to present teachers’ opinions about the readiness level of their students and search out the effects of these levels on teachers’ classroom management process. Furthermore, in this study it is aimed to determine the essential reasons of the inadequacy of the students’ readiness level and develop some suggestions for the solution. The study was conducted through the survey technique. In the framework of the study, 24 teachers working at schools in Gaziantep city were interviewed. The data were analyzed as descriptive analysis method was used. At the end of the research, the teachers indicated that students weren’t at the required readiness level and as the reason of this they pointed out some factors based on student, parent, teacher, program, environment, equipment, manager, etc. As a result of the study, it was determined that the defects at students’ readiness levels affected teachers’ classroom management process negatively.
