ADAPTATION OF DALY-MILLER’S WRITING APPREHENSION TEST TO TURKISH
Abstract :
The aim of this research was at adapting The Writing Apprehension Test which was developing by Daly and Miller (1975) in a Turkish population and studying it’s properties of reliability and validity. In this point of view the research was conducted with 450 secondary school students in Ankara. Principal component analysis rotated to varimax rotation was used for purpose of obtaining evidence for validity estimates, according to the results of factor analysis, it was determined that Writing Apprehension Test is made up of four factors which can be named as appreciation, prejudice ,evaluation apprehension, sharing what one writes explaining 53 % of the total variance. The estimated reliability of total scale scores by using Cronbach alpha was 0,90. All of the findings have been discussed in the light of literature.
