NASREDDIN HODJA STORIES IN TERMS OF IMPROVING CREATIVE THINKING IN TURKISH LANGUAGE TEACHING
Abstract :
The aim of this research is to analyse Nasreddin Hodja stories in terms of the features of creative thinking and define how these stories can be used in Turkish Language Teaching. This research is a descriptive studying in scanning model carried out by benefiting from the methods of collecting qualitative data. The datas in research were obtained by evaluating 124 stories belonging to Nasreddin Hodja. As an assesment instrument “ The Features of Creative Thinking Ability” is improved with the aim of collecting data. This assesment instrument is formed with included 8 items in total. It is defined that Nasreddin Hodja stories contain widely the features of creative thinking according to the results of research. To sum up, Nasreddin Hodja stories are rich texts which can be used in terms of improving creative thinking in Turkish Language Teaching.
