EVALUATION OF THE VIEWS OF PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS INVOLVED IN SOCIAL PROJECTS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF VALUES

Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of social projects on students which are carried out in Community Services Practices Course of Education Faculties. Accordingly, 7 social projects were carried out by 78 students within Faculty of Education of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University. As a result of the implementation of social projects in the study of qualitative research format, a semi-structured form consisting of 9 questions was administered to evaluate the project. 78 forms were investigated with the content analysis method as value-driven. 46 values were expressed or highlighted 554 times by preservice teachers. Among these values, values such as; in particular, being useful to society and other people, unity, to be successful, charity, responsibility, to communicate, social sensitivity, to be interested in, self-improvement, sensitive to the natural environment, entrepreneur, making people conscious, being planned, giving importance to family and being a model were highlighted. These values were classified in society (50,7 %), individual (34,7%), communication (9,2%) and environment (5,4%) categories.
