Abstract
While reading is the most important underlying skill of learning in different subject areas, reading comprehension is the essence of reading success. It is documented that questioning is one of the significant predictors of reading comprehension. Due to this, we focus on questioning in the study and give essential information about Barrett Taxonomy to be used by teachers in their classroom practices. Given the fact that questioning is not only important for being evaluated students’ reading comprehension skills but also a gateway to students’ monitoring their reading comprehension, it is expected that this study will provide significant contribution to literature, extend teachers’ perspectives and become a guidance on comprehension instruction of teachers in classroom practices.
