Abstract :
Masses has always been tied to media in order to understand what happens in the world. Media has taken more of an interest in some event that happens in society or less of an interest, or media pretended not to see some events in society. To be consider media’s this attitude in the study of Agenda-Setting Theory of American scientists Maxwell E. McCombs and his study friend Donald Shaw, particularly this theory focus on the relation between power and target mass which wanted to be impact in communication researches as political perspective. However, not only politic subjects, it should not be undervalued that media’s ability to make agenda impact on the subject of people who speaks daily topic. In our work, they have been examined by a critical view both to be satirized of the news about Halley’s Comet hits the world, a century ago, 5 May 1910 by Huseyin Rahmi Gurpınar’s novel named as Kuyruklu Yıldız Altında Bir İzdivaç (A Wedlock under the Comet) who is one of the famous name in Turkish literature and Press’s report forms of this topics in the present news relation to doomsday which happens 21 December 2012 on the Mayan calendar.
