DETERMINATION OF POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS’ VIEWS ABOUT ETHICAL RULES APPLIED TO SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHES

The purpose of this study is to determine postgraduate students’ views about the ethical rules applied to scientific researches. Data were taken from three postgraduate students having master degree in Adiyaman University using qualitative research methods. Data were collected by using semi-structured interviews and document analysis methods. Descriptive analysis techniques were used in the study. According to results of the research, students obey the rules of ethics in scientific researches. The researchers aiming to contribute to the world of science should be aware of the ethical principles and its applications in scientific researches. Rules are as important as the study applied in scientific researches. The universities have an important role in the ethical principles of scientific researches. When it is considered that the studies prepared by the universities training academician influence the scientific environment, the importance of the code of ethics will be better understood. Because of the lack of studies on the ethics of scientific researches in Turkey, we think that our study will contribute to this issue.
