Abstract :
In this research, perceptions of the students who attended the Little Scientists Science School activities were investigated. One-shot case study design involving one-group post-test only model was used as the research design. The main purpose for Little Scientists Science School was to disprove students’ prejudice about science courses that they are hard, boring and irrelevant to real life. The sample included 20 students who completed 6th grade and 20 students who completed 7th grade. Data were collected through Science School Evaluation Form. Quantitative data analysis was conducted by using SPSS. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage of the descriptive statistical techniques. Qualitative data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. Students stated that science school was fun, it gave them the chance to practice different activities that they do not do at school, and science school allowed them to associate lessons at school with daily life. Based on the research results, we argue that science schools can be used as a context to present science and science courses to students as fun, not so hard and connected to real life.
