ANALYSIS OF PERSONAL VALUES OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS OF TOURISM SECTOR IN TERMS OF THEIR DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS: THE CASE OF ANTALYA
Abstract :
Entrepreneurship consists of having the ability of intuitively sensing the opportunities created by the environment in which one lives, creating visions based on those intuitions, transforming these visions into projects, bringing these projects to life and producing richness while facilitating life (Bozkurt, 2000). First paper on women entrepreneurship was published in the middle of 1970s. Elenor Brantley Schwartz’s “Entrepreneurship, A New Female Frontier” titled paper published in 1976 was concerned with motivations, characteristics and attitudes of women entrepreneurs (Casson et al., 2009:612). In a certain sense, values may be expressed as mostly relative personal preferences which are fixed reflections of socialization process (Bulut, 2012:218). This study analyzes personal values of women entrepreneurs of tourism sector in terms of their demographic characteristics.
