Abstract
With this study it is purposed to investigate mobbing in health sector and display the level of being exposed to mobbing of the managers (head physician, assistant head physician, head nurse, assistant head nurse, administrator, assistant administrator) at the Ministry of Health Hospitals. The population of this study is all managers (454 managers) at the ministry of health hospitals in metropolitan area of Ankara. No sampling was chosen for the study and 54 % of managers replied to the survey (244 managers). “LIPT (Leymann Inventory of Psychological Terrorization)” was used to measure the level of being exposed to mobbing of hospital managers. Independent samples t test was used to analyze the differences of the level of being exposed to mobbing according to characteristics with two independent average scores and One Way ANOVA was used for characteristics with more than two independent average scores. Head nurses and head nurses assistants are being exposed to mobbing mostly. Also, age group of 29-39, females, graduated from medical career college and two-year degree and single health managers are more exposed to mobbing.
