Abstract :
The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between selection of impressionmanagement tactics and individual and organizational values of the teachers that work at primary and secondary schools. The population of the research consists of the teachers who work at primary and secondary schools in Şahinbey and Şehitkamil center towns in Gaziantep city. The sample of this research which is in descriptive design consists of 338 teachers who were selected randomly from the population by disproportional cluster sampling method. Data of this research were acquired by “impression management tactics scale” and “individual and organizational values scale”. There are; personal information in the first part of the survey, questions about impression management tactics in the second part of it, and individual and organizational values in the third part of it. In data analysis, descriptive statistics and stepwise multiple linear regression analyses were used. According to the findings; the ones, who have authority value among the individual values, use supplication and self-promotion tactics more frequently. The ones, who have money value among the organizational values, use supplication, self- promotion and job chauvinism tactics more frequently. The ones, who have loyalty and money values among both individual and organizational values, use supplication tactic more frequently. The ones, who have religiousness value among both individual and organizational values, use ingratiation tactic more frequently.
