Abstract :
The aim of the study 1-5. class text in Turkish textbooks is to examine in terms of gendre and thema. Research was carried out between 2012-2013, it is descriptive of a qualified work. In research were used content analysis of qualitative research methods. The population of the research is builded all 1-5. class Turkish textbooks adopted by the Board of Education, the sample15 of 11 publishing houses in Turkish textbooks selected by randomly assigning 492 forms of text. The names of the publishers in the research grabbing is encrypted. In obtaining the datas text type and thema criterions are used. In conclusion it was determined 15 textbooks in 131 informative texts, 213 in the narrative and the poetry of 148 and place given that 15 different themes. In 1st class M, O and all the themes of the publishing house L, 2. publishing house belonging to the class V 2 theme, 3. publishing house belonging to the class E 5 theme, 3. publishing house belonging to the class K 3 theme, 4. M publishing house belonging to the class 2 theme and 5. publishing house belonging to class E 2 theme informative text is not given text, 5. 3 The theme of class E Publishing House, one of the themes of Van publishing house publishing house and R 2 theme narrative is determined not given text. 15 Turkish textbooks of compulsory and elective theme has been prepared in accordance with the conclusions reached.
