EXPECTATIONS OF THE PEOPLE OF ERZURUM FROM WINTER SPORT ACTIVITIES IN TERMS OF TOURISM POTENTIAL

The aim of this study was to show what kind of expectations the individuals have in the Region Erzurum about Winter Sports Tourism. Investigation has been realized by survey method. The individuals who live in the boundary of City Erzurum Municipality have made up the universe of the investigation. 1372 people in total, men and women above 15 years of age who live in the city Erzurum, have made up the model individuals of the poll. Expectation criterion which has been developed with the aim of defining the expectations of the individuals in this region about winter sports tourism has been assessed for validity with alpha statistics method. It has been made clear that validity of expectation poll is 0.95 percent. In the analysis of information and data which have been gathered, statistical packet programs have been used. In the research group, there are differences in variables which are about winter sports tourism. As a result, the people of the region show that they have great positive expectations from Erzurum winter sports tourism.
