DETERMINATION OF THE SATISFACTION LEVELS OF ATHLETES WHO PARTICIPATED IN INTERCOLLEGE TURKISH WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP IN TERMS OF THEIR DEMOGRAPHIC FEATURES

The aim of this study was to determine the satisfaction level of athletes who participated in Turkey Intercollege Wrestling Championship in terms of their demographic features. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 105 athletes, 32 women and 73 men, from 55 universities that participated in Intercollege Wrestling Championship organized by Turkish University Sport Federation. Athlete Satisfaction Questionnaire (ASQ) was used to collect data from the sample group. The satisfaction levels of athletes were found to differ in terms of gender (P 0.05). Average of personal satisfaction and team satisfaction was found to be higher for men. No significant difference was found between the scores of being satisfied with the trainer and team satisfaction (P 0.05). In terms of years of experience in the profession, no difference was found in being satisfied with the trainer and team satisfaction (P 0.05), while significant difference was found in individual satisfaction (P 0.05). According to these results, trainers with more years of experience met the individual expectations of the athletes more.
