EXAMINATION OF SUFFICIENCY LEVELS OF YOUNG SOCCER PLAYERS PLAYING IN INFRASTRUCTURE OF PROFESSIONAL SOCCER TEAMS IN TERMS OF PERFORMANCE FOR PROFESSIONAL SOCCER LEAGUES
Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine sufficiency of young soccer players playing in U18 category of professional soccer teams for all teams in professional leagues through analysis of soccer matches with match analyze program. Within the context of the study, a total of fifty matches consisting of one match of ten soccer teams selected randomly from Super league, First League, Second League, and Third League of Turkey professional soccer leagues and U18 league of infrastructure soccer leagues were analyzed by match analyze program according to various performance parameters. The videos of matches were recorded by video camera and provided from broadcaster institutions. Match videos were analyzed by being transferred to e-analyze program. According to analysis results, there was a significant difference between league levels in terms of number of ball losses, negative head balls, free kicks in opponent half pitch, positive passes, negative passes (p 0.05). There was no significant difference between league levels in terms of other performance parameters. Consequently, it can be said that there was a partial difference between young soccer players who are candidates to professionalism and professional soccer players in terms of performance and it can be said that contributions can be made to young soccer players by performing special trainings regarding performance parameters which are seen as insufficient.
