The Role of the Biomedical Engineering Services in the Hospital
Abstract :
Scientific and technological developments that are going on very fast affected not only the whole branches of science and their application fields butthe field of health and medicine as well. The service of health offered (presented) to the patient increased its quality by means of the adaptation of the engineering and technology to clinic needs. In addition to the developing technology; medical applications became more scientific and technical, medical equipment gradually reached a very developed level, and these medical equipments are being used intensively in our hospitals. These events caused big problems at the same time. It’s a big responsibility to have the investments wisely, to run the medical technology properly, to have the periodic maintenance, repairs and calibration check. In terms of this, it is inevitable to take advantage of Biomedical Engineering Services that must have the duty of mediator between the medical personnel and the technical workers, which can evaluate the events by means of medicine and engineering.
