Abstract
In this presentation, ankyloglossia, which is a tongue anomaly, that was seen in two male kangal dogs (father and son) were discussed. In the anamnesis obtained from the owners of the patients, it was stated that the patients had difficulty in drinking and eating. Clinical examination revealed that the lingual frenulum was completely adhered to the ventral of the oral cavity. Under general anesthesia, frenuloplasty procedure was performed. The normal anatomic position of the tongue was achieved. It was learned that the patients were using their tongues normally and gained weight in the postoperative 2 month- period.
