Comparison Eating Habits Before and After Disease of Patients With Multiple Sclerosis

Abstract
Objective: This study was carried out to determine comparison eating habits before and after disease of patients with multiple sclerosis. Material and Methods: Research was conducted with patients enrolled in the Multiple Sclerosis Society in a province in Central Anatolia Region. Population of the research consisted of 473 patients with the above-mentioned associations registered. All the population into were included in the study without sampling methods. Research was held with the 103 MS patients in the days of planned training-seminar activities of the association. 16 patients did not want to answer to the questionnaire and 7 patients gave incomplete data for questionnaires. Research was completed with 80 patients. Results: 73.8% of the patients enrolled in the study were female, while 58.7% were married and 68.6% are non-smokers. In this study was found a significant increase in consumption whole grains and bran bread after the disease (p 0.05). Conclusion: It is recommended further investigation with MS in nutrition planning.
