Abstract
During recent years, hard competition in tourism sector has forced resort hotel managers to improve current products and to search for the alternative products. One of them is related with pension types. The type was BB (Bed Breakfast) or HB (Half Board) at the beginning but then it became FB (Full Board) and lastly “All Inclusive” system appeared. Each pension type has impacted on the certain hotel policies. For this reason, a survey research was conducted at four and five-stars hotels operating in certain provinces of Turkey in 2007 and 2008 to determine the reflects of the “all inclusive system” on the purchasing politics. 172 hotels joined into the research. It is found that purchasing poli-tics have been more impacted in hotels in which “all inclusive system” was used than the ones using other pension types. The issues taken account for the purchasing was treated with factor analysis. Factor analysis produced five factors; namely “prestige”, “after sales services”, “capabilities and reputation”, “pricing policy” and “intimacy”.
