Abstract
The present study aimed at revealing the perceptions of elementary school administrators and teachers concerning the e-school application of the Ministry of National Education as well as their opinions regarding the contribution of this application to education system, the success of the application, and the positive and negative aspects of the application. The research universe was the province of Van. 10 elementary schools were selected from 5 educational regions of the province of Van by random sampling. Questionnaires were administered to a total of 303 teachers and 26 school administrators. The data obtained via the questionnaires were analyzed by using the statistical package named SPSS in the computer environment. Then, necessary comparisons pertaining to variables in descriptive statistics were made by using appropriate statistical methods. In the present study, it was concluded that the school administrators and teachers considered it the most important advantage of the e-school application that it prevented time and labor loss by eliminating some documents including promotion (passing a grade) books, grade sheets, etc. The activation of “save” button through administrator module in some operations was stated to be the most important disadvantage of the e-school application.
