For this purpose, a field research has been carried out using 952 survey forms in TRA1 Region for 2013, and the data obtained as a result of the field research has been subjected to statistical analyses. According to the results of the analysis, both animal-and plant-derived total economic BE potential of TRA1 Region is 4,778 Tonne Petroleum Equivalent-TPE. 56 % of BE can be generated in Erzurum, 27,2 % in Erzincan, and 16,8 % in Bayburt. In addition, the most important three impacts on the local economy of BE production in TRA1 Region are found to include additional revenue growth, employment increase and increase in soil fertility.
