Examination of the Views of Parents of Teachers and Students about Compulsory Teacher Rotation

The aim of this study is to examine the views of teachers and students’ parents about compulsory teacher rotation. The research process was carried out according to the general screening of a suitable model for the nature of the study because the determination and the analysis of the parents’ opinions of teachers and the students were the topics of the present study. The students’ parents and the teachers working in Erzurum constitute the study group; 52 teachers working in Yakutiye, Pasinler, Hınıs and Köprüköy districts of Erzurum province and 34 students’ parents residing in Erzurum city center constitute the research samples. For gathering of research data, an Interview Form prepared by the researchers about compulsory teacher rotation was used. For the analysis of the obtained data, descriptive analysis technique was used. At the end of the study, it was determined that the participants were trying to handle the compulsory teacher rotation with both positive and negative sides but the common opinion about rotation was positive.
