  • Abstract
    In this research, it is aimed to analyze the implementation of getting the students to acquire the map skills and their manners against the subject geography. The research sample is formed of 100 students at 9th, 10th and 11th grade of İstanbul Üsküdar Henza Akın Çolakoğlu High School. Through the survey improved for students, their attitudes have been qualified after practice.The findings from the research are below:1. Girls’ attitudes to the geography is more content than the boys’. 2. The more level of class, students’ attitudes to geography changes in a content way. 3. The attıtudes of the students in equal weight and social sciences field to geography is more content than the ones in scince and maths field. 4. There is a meanıngful relation between the impotance of geography and visuality. So students regard the usage of visual equipments, firstly map, (Picture.shape,globe..etc) necessary and important in teaching geography. 5. The idea of students about map effect on long lasting learning is favourable. 6. There is a meanıngful relation between students’capability of improving space perception and teh usage of map. 7. Because students haven’t been not able to get the skill of making their own outlıne map, it doesn’t play role in improving space perception.
