Abstract
Far infrared radiation (FIR) is referred to as rays containing wavelengths between 5.6 and 1000 microns. These rays are emitted by sun rays, human body, metals and some minerals. Far infrared rays have been shown to have positive effects on the human body and especially these rays are used especially in the field of alternative medicine by far eastern countries. This article is a review study and the purpose of the study is to examine the benefits of far infrared on human health and the yarns and fabrics that have the ability to radiate these rays. In the first part of the article, far infrared rays are introduced, their effects on human health are examined and information about bioceramics is given. In the second chapter, focused on far-infrared irradiated yarns and fabrics.
