Abstract
This study is attempting to answer the main question of “How has the position of employees against the employer been changed in a work life that reshaped by Information Technologies (IT)?” In this context, the following questions are addressed: How employees are inspected and monitored by means of IT; what is the position of women’s labor in IT-intensive work environments; what are the effects of IT-intensive jobs on employees’ health, and How IT effects unions and unionization. As a conclusion, based on the discussion of “remote and isolated work”, there is an apparent change in this new work environment which essentially serves to the basic principles of Taylorism.
