  • Abstract
During our field studies aiming to determine the Harpacteinae fauna of Turkey, additional specimens of the species Harpactea erseni and H. pugio, previously described on males, were collected; detailed photographs of male and female reproductive organs constituting taxonomic characters are provided, descriptions were made and known locations for these species are shown on the map. H. erseni belongs to the rubicunda (D) group of the genus, by the male reproductive organs and some other characters. However, the newly described female reproductive organ bears resemblance with the lepida (C) group due to its completely sclerotized posterior spermatheca. This situation is discussed in the article. H. pugio is replaced in the rubicunda (D) group due to a membranous posterior diverticulum located on the posterior spermatheca of the female reproductive organ and other various taxonomic characteristics from the both sexes.
