  • Abstract
    The antibacterial activity of a series of some linked 2,5-disubstituted tetrazole-1,2,3-triazole compounds(1a-3a) and (1b-3b) against gram-positive bacterial strains (Bacillus subtilis CIP 5262, and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923), and gram-negative (Pseudomonas aeruginosaATCC 27853, and Salmonellaenteric CIP 8039) has been investigated. We used to prove the inhibitory efficacy of these compounds the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) method.The obtained results proved their effectiveness against the proliferation of certain pathogenic microorganisms, and they made it possible to highlight a very important property concerning the stereochemistry, and the effects of the aryl substituents (methoxy (OCH3), methyl (CH3), and hydroxyl (OH)).
