Abstract
Values serve as directional signs that guide the lives and perspectives of individuals. It is thought that the values play an important role in solving the negatives (such as declining productivity and competitiveness) that affect the organizations. One of the most important of these negatives can be considered as individual deviation behavior. The purpose of this work is to establish the relationship between values and individual deviation behaviors. Difference, correlation and regression analysis were used in the analysis of data collected from 105 lecturers who were working in a university. The results of the research showed that there is a moderate, negative, and meaningful relationship between academicians perceptions of value and interpersonal deviation behaviors. Also revealed that the perception of values has a negative effect on the interpersonal deviation behaviors. It is believed that the study will contribute to the literature because it is the first study to examine the relationship between values and individual deviation behaviors in the national literature at the same time.
