EVALUATION OF SUSTAINABILITY PERFORMANCE OF BANKS BY EDAS AND ARAS METHODS

The aim of the study is to analize and compare the social, environmental and economic sustainability performance of banks operating in Turkey. In this context, the sustainability and annual reports published by the banks were used and the data were obtained with the help of these reports. four social sustainability, five economic sustainability and two environmental sustainability criteria in total eleven criteria were used in the study. The importance of the criteria were obtained through the Entropy method and the sustainability performances of the banks were listed with the EDAS and ARAS methods. According to the entropy results, the profit before tax criterion has been calculated as the most important criterion in all years. In all years and in both methods, İşbank won the first place in the rankings where different results were obtained according to different years.
