Abstract
Tourism activities reduce the balance of payments deficit, increase labor force participation opportunities and stimulating demand in related sectors. These factors have positive effect on economic growth for tourism exporting countries. In this study, 15 countries with the highest tourism income in 2019 (USA, Spain, France, Thailand, UK, Italy, Australia, Germany, Japan, Macau, China, HongKong, India, Canada, Turkey) were studied. The relationship between GDP and tourism income and exchange rate 2005-2019 was analyzed with Pedroni Cointegration Test. According to the results of the cointegration test, it has been determined that there is a long-term relationship between the variables. According to the result of the FOLS and DOLS coefficient estimation made afterwards, 1% change in tourism income increased GDP by 17,832%; 1% change in exchange rate increases GDP by 2.96 units.
