Abstract
In this research, the aim was to study the perception of teachers about assessment and evaluation whom are working in general and vocational high schools in TRNC. The research data has been collected by information forms and the Assessment and Evaluation Method Level of Competence Scale which was reformed by Sever (2012). Also, for it to be applicable confirmatory factor analysis was completed and the values were found tobe acceptable. At the end of the research, at the stage of planning the assessment and evaluation, we see that teachers felt that they are qualified enough, and looking at the whole scale, we see that they see themselves as sufficient. However, when looking at gender, we notice that when “Reviewing the Process”, female teachers feel more qualified. According to the teachers answers, there seem to be no difference made with taking Assessing and Evaluating courses, in-service training, and the change in the universities programs.
