Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine classroom teachers opinions on the usage of writing strategies. The research was carried out with 25 classroom teachers who were selected by maximum diversity sampling method from sampling methods working in primary schools in Trabzon province. Qualitative research method was used in the collection, analysis and interpretation of the data obtained in the research. The data of the study were obtained by semi-structured interview technique. The interviews were included a total of 8 open-ended questions that helped teachers determine both their demographic information and their use of writing strategies. The data obtained at the end of the interview were analyzed with descriptive analysis technique. The results of the research indicate that classroom teachers do not have enough time for writing in their daily lives and that their use of writing strategies is very low.
