Abstract
The aim of thisstudy is to determine the technological pedagogical content knowledge competencies of music teacher candidates according to some demographic characteristics. This study is a survey model in which correlational model is used. The study group constituted a total of 142 teacher candidates who study at Program of Music Education in the department of Fine Arts Education in Faculty of Education in some universities including Gazi University (42), Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (20), Uludag University (34), Balikesir University (19), Mugla Sıtkı Kocman University (27). As a data collection instrument, a five-point Likert-type scale developed by Şahin (2011) was used to determine the personal information form required to determine the demographic characteristics of the teacher candidates and the technological pedagogical content knowledge. As a result of the research, according to the average scores of TPCK and subscales, it was determined that the music teacher candidates had good level knowledge when examining the content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge of teacher candidates.
