Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the preschool teachers views towards sexual development in early childhood. In this study Qualitative research method was used. It was designed with case study. Research sample constituted 28 preschool teachers working in 8 independent kindergartens in Ankara. Individual interviews were held with the teachers. Content analysis method was used in the research. Different themes were created about the phenomenon or event and the codes under these themes are determined and interpreted. As a result of the research, teachers supported the education of sexual development in early childhood education. it was seen that teachers had sufficient knowledge about sexual development. they correctly defined neglect and abuse in general. The content of the sexual development course must be appropriate for the children s level of development, includes family education and includes information about neglect and exploitation. However, it was seen that teachers had the confusion about how to follow the way in case of neglect and abuse. As a recommendation, it has been proposed to increase the training on sexual education for teachers and to give trainings on how teachers will follow the cases of neglect and abuse.
