    THE INVESTIGATION OF 48-72 MONTHS CHILDREN’S DEVELOPMENT IN TERMS OF VARIOUS VARIABLES BY LAP-3 DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT SCALE

  • Abstract
    The aim of this study is investigation of 48-72 months children’s development in terms of various variables by LAP-3 Development Assessment Scale. Study group was formed by the schools which are selected to have the necessary physical characteristics so that the LAP-3 Developmental Assessment Scale can be implemented from both Anatolian and European Side of İstanbul. A total of 351 children who were studying in the seven selected schools were included in the study. The study is designed as a quantitative study. Personel information form and LAP-3 Development Assessment Scale (adapted by Tunçeli, 2017) used as data collection tools. The analysis results of the the research showed that the scores children got in the sub-tests of LAP-3 Development Assessment Scale did not depend on their gender, parents’ age, presence of siblings. However, it was found that increases in parents’ education level and their employment status; and pre-school education and its duration positively affects children’s development.
