Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the views of school principals who work in primary and secondary schools about the legal regulations related to inclusive education. The study was carried out in the province of Ankara-Çankaya in the academic year of 2018-2019. Semi-structured interviews were conducted in order to determine the views of school principals. Data were collected in February 2019 and recorded using mobile phone s voice recording application. Data collected from interviews were analyzed by inductive analysis technique. The findings of the study are presented by taking into consideration the themes resulting from the analysis of the data obtained from the interviews. The results of the study show that the legal regulations regarding the inclusive education are sufficient in our country, but some subjects are needed legislation and there are some problems in the implementation of legal regulations. As a result, it is necessary to review the legal regulations related to inclusive education which is an important education model in the education of students with special needs in our country and to determine the problems related to the legislation in practice. Based on the views of the practitioners, it is considered that the legislative regulation may reduce the problems in practice and prevent many legal shortcoming.
