Abstract
This research aims to describe students explanations of motion types, drawing, and interpretation of a graph and the relationships in each other knowledge. The study was conducted with 20 students in 11th grade in a private school. The data were collected through a test prepared by the researcher, consisting of 10 open-ended questions. The answers were categorized as correct, partially correct and false, and then digitized data were analyzed using non-parametric tests. It was determined that the students were more successful at explaining constant velocity motion compared to constant acceleration motion, at explaining according to the giving sample. It was found that the students made more mistakes when drawing a-t graphs, graphs of decelerated motion with constant acceleration and graphs of motion in the negative directions. Another finding is that students have deficiencies in specifying the information that can be reached from the graph types. In reading the given graph, it is determined that there is more deficiencies in constant acceleration motion, negative direction motion and a-t graph. It can be said that there is a significant difference between the participants knowledge about explanations, interpretation graph and drawing graph related to kinematics.
