Abstract
This study aimed to find out the relationship between collective teacher efficacy and school effectiveness. 224 teachers working in Yozgat during the 2015-16 school year participated in the study. Collective Teacher Efficacy Scale was used to determine teachers collective teacher efficacy beliefs. School Effectiveness Scale was used to define teachers opinions on school effectiveness. For the analysis of the data, quantiative analysis methods were used. Findings showed that teachers collective beliefs about teaching strategies and student discipline were high, and they perceived their schools to be highly effective. A moderate positive relationship was found between collective teacher competence and school effectiveness. In addition, collective teacher competence was found to be a significant predictor of school effectiveness. The results of the study were compared with the literature and evaluated in terms of the current education system.
